Pours golden orange with a sudsy head that lasted the whole glass. Left wonderful lacing that was present until I rinsed it out. Aromas of citrusy hops of course along with some pine and coastal sage and then some vanilla. Flavors of hops and more hops. Delicious. Now I know what an IPA is supposed to taste like. timmy300 (199), bloomington, Illinois, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 20, 2006 Bottle (650ml - 2006 vintage). Rating #1800. Cloudy deep orange, huge fluffy-fizzy off-white head. Huge hop aroma, citrus and funky-herbal, spruce, resin - quite a medley, but also a massive juicy malt backbone - near perfect to my nostrils. Taste follows right on, hop medley, solid malt, pretty solid alcohol, all shifting and mixing to a medium length balanced juicy finish - the hops never overwhelm, but they’re there in quantity. Pretty solid body, nice astringency and carbonation, nice ear-tingling alcoholic body, long hop linger, but again, not overwhelming, just ... solid. Awesome I2PA - I prefer (slightly) the winter version because of the bigger malt profile, but this is pretty awesome too! Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 8, 2008 Bomber from JCB - mad props to Jason, my NC brew pimp! Clear orange amber with a humongous, bubbly, off white head. Tons of bubbles rise in a maniacal race to the top of my Duvel tulip. Thick, foamy lace. Some sweet caramel and a light floral tone peek from behind a wall of sweet orange and light pine. Thick, bitter grapefruit and pine flavors are followed with a soothing malt sweetness. Mildly floral flavors late in the game, followed by a somewhat dry, bitter finish. Excellent. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

A blast of hops, pine, and grapefruit hits you in the face. Resiny hops up front that move into the citrus flavors and malty sweetness. Lingering mouthfeel and hop bite. Excellent IIPA. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 27, 2007 22 oz bottle. Poured a clear orange color. Head was bubbly and off white with good retention and lacing. Smelled of sweet malty caramel, cherry, cotton candy, and grapefruity hops. Dry on the tongue up front with moderate to assertive hops bitterness right from the get go and well into the finish. As far as bitterness goes I’d give it a 7 out of 10. Malty sweetness emerged toward the end, especially as the beer warmed up. Nice balance of citrusy hops and malty toffee in the flavor. Tasty IIPA. chicagodri (1074), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours a hazy gold with a thick off white head. Crazy hops aroma, pine, citrus, and about everything else. Great hop flavor, with a some serious hop bitterness. Really glad I got a second bottle :)
