Jun 26, 2005 Summer ’05. Nose is very similar to 90 minute. I catch chocolate, pine, guava, and mango in the nose. Awesome stuff. Color is a deep, cloudy amber with a lasting thin off-yellow head. Mouthfeel is very full with the taste of crushing bitterness. Mangos come out, along with oranges and pine needles. The taste is a little overly-understated, could use a bit more malt to bring it up to par. Still, an awesome experience.

Jun 26, 2005 bottle summer 05. this is definately a hop monster. aroma is piney, citrus, and very inviting. dark hazy orange. easily drinkable though alcohol comes more apparent as it warms. highly reccommended.

Poured a deep clear effervescent amber with a large creamy fluffy white head. Aroma is clean hops with hints of candy. Taste is piney hops with a mild malt backbone, adding a touch of sweetness. Lingering bitterness and dryness in the finish. A very nice IIPA, and another world class brew from Alesmith.

Jan 2, 2006 Pours a hazy amber color with a large 2 finger offwhite head. One whiff of this stuff and you know it’s loaded with hops! Tastes like hops, hops, and more hops. It’s a little bit spicy almost with a slight hint of grapefruit and roses. I would have liked to see a more balanced flavor with a litlte bit more maltiness present in the flavor. Full bodied and creamy. Delicious stuff

Jan 6, 2005 One of the best I’ve had recently. Lives up to the hype. Thsi beer is very hoppy and has the ability to make the drinker of it jones for more. Earthy notes of flavor and the yeast is definitely there. AWESOME!!!

May 31, 2008 Updated: Jul 23, 2008Pours light amber orange with thin white head. Floral aroma of hops, very nice! (Not too overwhelming or weak) Flavor begins with a nice and smooth citrus profile and then finishes with an intense kick of hops. Finishes dry with a smooth and medium weight body. This double IPA is really lacking in roasty flavor. Kind of suprising, but nice. A great beer for a hop-head in Southern California during summer!

Jul 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 25, 2008Peach, floral and citrus aroma. Tastes of peach, grapefruit and slight creamy vanilla. Super balance. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy for an IPA. Highly recommended.
