Damn nice flavors of peach, fresh hops, citrus, floral characters, sweet malt, and some light but noticeable spice. Very smooth and tasty brew. Beerlando (2344), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 29, 2008 Fresh bottle. Pours a hazy, glowing orange-amber color. A dense, foamy, off-white head settles slowly to a thin blanket, leaving thick rings of lacing on the glass. The nose is booming! Notes of orange and lemon chiffon, grapefruit, and pine hops are accompanied by a sweet but unobtrusive toffee malt background. The flavor is equally impressive, with massive citrus and pine notes being tempered by a touch of lactic cream and sweet but appropriate toffee malts. Crushing bitterness, but sufficient malt sweetness for balance. The body is about as big as it gets for the style, but never gets to be overly cloying. Finishes semi-dry, with lingering citrus notes. This is a world-class beer, for sure. inkubus27 (251), Highland, Indiana, USA

I’d love to try a fresh bottle. You could tell the aroma died down a bit because of the huge amount of bitterness, but other than that it tasted great, with a nice malty backbone and a great hop flavor to accompany the high IBU level. One of the better DIPA’s I’ve tried. ditmier (1102), Boise, Idaho, USA
