Commercial Description:
YuleSmith is a quenching, hoppy "double" IPA. Appearance: Clear copper color and a creamy beige head with good retention. Flavor: Starts out with a bite of hops, but a perfect balance of maltiness and a dry finish leave you thirsting for that next sip. Aroma: The aroma starts with a heady citrusy and floral feel, and a slight overtone of vanilla. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Smooth, medium-bodied. Warm mouthfeel from the high alcohol content. Feels lush and full in the mouth.

Thanks to JohnC for hooking me up with this one, another great IPA from the West Coast, slightly hazy, amber color with a subtle orange hue, decent off-whie head with some nice lacing, great combination of hops & malt in the nose, also slight hint of yeast & earth in the aroma, medium-full in body, very bitter & very hoppy flavors, very well-balanced, good malt backbone, very dry but yet fruity, earth & pine notes in the flavors, dry & bitter hoppy aftertaste & finish, great IPA

Small head, golden color. Full hop aroma. Body is strong and malty. A big hop flavor as you would expect, but I’m not put off by the bitterness. Finish is alcoholic, slightly bitter and a little roasty. Warming. A very approachable and balanced beer. Worthy of its high rating.

Cloudy Copper, with a big white head. Spicy, peppery, woodsy aroma, with just a hint of medicinal smell. Big citrus flavor - Grapefruit, of course, but also some lemon and lime. Hints of smoke and salt. Very dry, but also incredibly smooth. The malt presence is incredibly subtle in the flavor, but is felt in the palate and aftertaste, if that makes any sense. Some resiny flavors in the finish. Really, really impressive. Thanks to Drunkasaskunk for this one!

Summer batch. Poured a hazy amber with a medium white head. Aroma has a good size nose to it . It is piney more than the usual grapefruit which makes for a welcome change. There still is some citrus and a little peach as well. Flavor has some lightly sweet malt with good flavor and bittering hops in the middle and end. Medium bodied and nicely balanced. Makes for a nice and easy to drink beer. Warming sensation are noticable.

Bottle. Malty and creamy aroma. Excellent malt and hops flavors. Creamy and buttery. Very well balanced with an even duration. Thanks to Bad Beer for this one.

bottle- thanks Jason- a nice summer treat with that familiar alesmith ipa smell, citrus, pine. I was surprised how well balanced this beer was, and was expecting far more hop bitterness and flavor. wasn’t there. Still, nice, somewhat creamy mouthfeel, and an earthy malt flavor make this a great choice.

Yum, 22oz bottle (Thanks BMart) just great, in your face hoppiness balanced with a substantial amount of malt, dangerously drinkable and easy to slam... really has a great taste, just great.
