Commercial Description:
During the summer, YuleSmith is transformed into a big, hoppy, Double IPA. The enormous load of hops requires a substantial malt background to create just the right balance for a Double IPA. Lighter in color, summer YuleSmith is available around the 4th of July and is packaged in a red, white, and blue bottle. For the winter season, YuleSmith is brewed as an Imperial Red Ale. This version is maltier, more balanced, and darker in color than the summer version. Although quite malty, big hop flavors and aromas are abundant making this an unforgettable winter warmer. Winter YuleSmith is packaged in traditional holiday red and green. Original Gravity Alcohol by Volume 1.085 9.5%

Thanks ericandersnavy. Great strong aroma right off the bat. Slight alcohol, honey and bread. Warming. Really nice spicy aftertaste. I love it.

Not what I was expecting. Aroma was partially balanced but flavor was hop dominant and did not go well with my holiday meal. Very bitter and lingered quite a bit. Ɠ-Reminder)

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Clear red pour with a healthy head. Very hoppy smell with a belgian sweet aroma. Taste is nice with a fair level of hops. Has a dry burn on the finish that provides a tasty finish.

22 oz. bottle from Jungle Jim’s. Muddy reddish-brown pour with a creamy off-white head. Big hop aroma of grapefruit, tangerines, and apricot. Flavor does not disappoint; big, bitter hops balanced with some toffee sweetness. Having sampled this in late summer to early fall this is at least 10 months old. At this point it is very close to barley wine territory. It’s an outstanding beer (does this brewery make bad beers?). Would love to try this fresh but the bottle I had was incredible.

This was absolutely amazing. Picked up in a trade with Corby112. Slightly cloudy amber color with a thin off white head. Really sweet, fruity smell, a lot of darker fruit aroma. Tasted a lot of what I smelled, sweet malts and dark fruit flavors. Very delicious. A little bit syrupy towards the end but very drinkable. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more of this.

Great hop aromas. Excellent spicy hop flavors. This is an awesone beer. I can’t even fathom how it would taste fresh as this had some time on it and it was fantasic!

Bottle. Huge head with nice duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are rich with plum, raisin, nuts, spices, caramel, roast malt, hops, flowers and alcohol notes. A real Wauw experience.
