BeerGeyser (18), San Marcos, California, USA Apr 1, 2008 22 Oz bottle. This Holiday Ale was absolutely fantastic. Poured a robust red with a nice head. The malty hop aroma was a nice appetizer to the well balanced hop malted flavor in the beer. The aftertaste was even better. Went back to pick up another bottle but to my disappointment they were all gone. I went to the brewery to pick up a bottle, they were all out. Next winter, cannot come soon enough. I will make sure to stock up with multiple bottles. This is a must have beer in your refrigerator. Magicdave6 (5400), London, Greater London, England Apr 1, 2008 Bottle at no royce the last thing you need right now is more storm tasting. Alround rating: Caramalt, citrus, grassy hop, more balanced than its brother(summer) however i believe this was a ’05 bottle and had probably lost quite a bit of its hop character. Tasty stuff. M0RHI (1067), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Mar 31, 2008 Bottle at Magic dave6’s disco dance tasting. Cloudy red with a thick beige head. Nose is hazy with some barrel wood. Hoppy. Mouth is warm, slightly acetic, some grass in there. Good, but not defineable in quality. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 31, 2008 Courtesy of Juart. Pours a beautiful red amber color with a thick cream-colored head and excellent lacing. A lot of sweet citrus piney hops in the aroma. It is like a spicy sugarplum soaked in alcohol. A thick creamy texture. Sweetness of plums tea with citrus and pine. Tastes like the perfect Christmas treat. The mouthfeel is outstanding as well. cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland Mar 30, 2008 Bottle at Toms Glasgow tasting 2 ... Pours a dark orangeish amber with a strong tan head. Smells very spicy, with cloves, soy sauce, molasses, black pepper, bready, sweet, piney and citric notes. Very complex aroma. Super spicy taste. Bitter, resiny with sweet, fruity, and slightly oxidized malt notes. Bubbly full mouthfeel. Seems slightly old, but delicious. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2008 Was able to pick up a bomber from AleSmith when I was out there. Pours a reddish brown body.
