| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Nov 8, 2003 A style that Alesmith does well because of the massive hops that are added to the beer. Bright floral and citrus hops play around in the middle and settle to a cloying bitterness in the end. A bit o'yeast and cookie in the front. Very huge beer; a fabulous beer all the way around. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 8, 2007 Bomber pour was a red, really, reddish orange with a large creamy tan head. Immediate nose of grapefruit and pine. Real pungent pine, grapefruit, orange citrus and touch of spice here too, maybe cinnamon and also a small bit of pepper.
Taste was a typical pine, floral IPAness, with a real peppery finish. This was a very juicy, but dry finish, that left a great pucker. Thanks Secret Santa, I really liked this, enjoyed this a lot. JohnnyJ (1352), Carlsbad, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 5, 2009 This is excellent. Full sweet malt with strong juicy hops. Pours a deep copper with off-white head, good sticky lacing. Caramel malt, cherries, citrus, orange peel, tropical fruit, bitter hops, floral notes, and pine. MMmmmmm tasty. boto (1345), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 11, 2006 22oz bomber: This one is a hazy amber color. Really not much head at all on mine. The aroma has both notes of pine and citrus hops. Also some floral notes. A bit of a bitter bite to the beer (predominately citric), but nicely balanced by the presence of a slightly more than medium malt body. It has a creamy texture to it. Extremely nice. j12601 (1338), Poughkeepsie, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 13, 2009 Bottle. Pours a brandy hued copper with a medium size smooth foam head, off white in color. Citrus hops rush to the nose even while pouring. Sweet malt scents and just the faintest hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium thick, sweet and malty with vigorous carbonation. Finishes with a nice lingering grapefruit and quinine bitter, and the subtlest hint of that sweet malt from earlier. Very clean, very easy drinking.
