The bitterness continues into the long finish. Dry finish. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 7, 2006 December 2004 Copper - dark amber body. Gorgeous big creamy off white head, and nice lacing on the glass. Big pleasantly hoppy aroma, shows a touch of green hops and muted citrus. Lots of hops present in the flavour predominantly resiny with a touch of pine but not much citrus aside from some punchy grapefruit in the finish. Nice medium to full body. Very nice beer. Thanks to whoever brought this to Dougs for the Toronto Christmas Party 2004. 8/4/9/4/17 - 4.2 jimhilt (1688), Bow, New Hampshire, USA

I definitely detect peaches, which are very interesting. Body is a little hazy with a nice dark red color. Tastes great... not overly hoppy, but still very flavorful. Very well balanced. Some grassy hops barely detectable in taste. Texture is creamy and medium bodied; I wish it was more resiny. This is definitely one of the top IIPAs, a bit better than the over hopped, overhyped Dreadnaught. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of fresh citrus, breadiness, and caramel. Flavor of caramel, chocolate, hops, and an abundance of malt presence. BeerandBlues2 (3230), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Pours tawny with a large, frothy, light brown head, mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, bread, caramel), heavy hops (flowers, perfume, pine), average yeast (leather, dough) with notes of alcohol, apple, and wood. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 6, 2008 Pours a clean ruby red body with a large 2 1/2 finger sticky off-white froth. Strong hop aroma with an equally large malt backbone. The flavors are quite sweet and syrupy at first with a big bready flavor that completely buries the hops until the finish when I’m finally getting some really nice resiny citrus notes. Feel the heat a little bit also.
