Commercial Description:
During the summer, YuleSmith is transformed into a big, hoppy, Double IPA. The enormous load of hops requires a substantial malt background to create just the right balance for a Double IPA. Lighter in color, summer YuleSmith is available around the 4th of July and is packaged in a red, white, and blue bottle. For the winter season, YuleSmith is brewed as an Imperial Red Ale. This version is maltier, more balanced, and darker in color than the summer version. Although quite malty, big hop flavors and aromas are abundant making this an unforgettable winter warmer. Winter YuleSmith is packaged in traditional holiday red and green. Original Gravity Alcohol by Volume 1.085 9.5%

Whoa! What a GIGANTIC amount of flavor in this 22. Everything is MORE in this brew, more hops, more malt, more carbonation, more haze in color, more pizazz. Would drink again and again.

Bottle. Huge head with nice duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are rich with plum, raisin, nuts, spices, caramel, roast malt, hops, flowers and alcohol notes. A real Wauw experience.

Huge thanks to Ucusty for this brew!!! Bottle. Aroma is just amazing with notes of raisin, fig, plum, dried dark fruits, caramel, apple, and alcohol. Large off-white frothy head that mostly lasted and left great lace. Deep red/amber/brown murky hue. Flavor is just amazing. Dark ripe fruit with caramel, port, red wine, spice, licorice, and finishes mildly bitter. Amazing. Palate is medium bodied and softly carbonated. Finish lingers just a little too long. Just a beautiful brew that impressed in all categories. The only hit it takes is with the aftertaste that lingers just a bit too long but I won’t knock it down for that. I think this beer could age very well.

Bottle. Clear ruby in color with small lacing type head. Really pretty color, mesmerizing. Aroma of sweet malts and piny hops. The taste was out of this word, sweet yet hoppy and fresh. Big and malty, reminds me of D Bastard only smoother and better. As it warms it develops an alcoholic edge in the finish. Excellent beer.

Bottle from sickboy 282- wow. Sweet brew. Dark amber brown in appearence. Smelled of piney, nutty hops. Tasted terrific, nuttyness really came through when this beer warmed. Another awesome beer from this great brewer. rerate, 3/2008- this beer finally came to buffalo. feel the same way about it: possibly, the perfect beer.

WOW! Absolutely MONSTOROUS head that refuses to die. Sticky lacing like I ain’t never seen. This one is in the dictionary under: Amber. Clean all around. Pine, resin, nuts and grass in the aroma. The malt profile is just squeaky clean and sufficient. This is no doubt the cleanest DIPA that I have ever had. My first beer from this brewery and IMO the hype is substantiated.

Pours a deep dark red with a big fluffy head. Aromas of piny hops, fresh cut evergreen, cinnamon and candy spice. Huge hop flavor, brown sugar sweetness, rock candy sugar. Very silky and sticky. Might be my favorite beer of all time.

What a nice, gentle warm feeling that comes over you when you taste this beer, like a nice cognac. I’m still very bitter that after four years of living in san diego, i didnt know this brewery existed. great beer, again.
