Commercial Description:
During the summer, YuleSmith is transformed into a big, hoppy, Double IPA. The enormous load of hops requires a substantial malt background to create just the right balance for a Double IPA. Lighter in color, summer YuleSmith is available around the 4th of July and is packaged in a red, white, and blue bottle. For the winter season, YuleSmith is brewed as an Imperial Red Ale. This version is maltier, more balanced, and darker in color than the summer version. Although quite malty, big hop flavors and aromas are abundant making this an unforgettable winter warmer. Winter YuleSmith is packaged in traditional holiday red and green. Original Gravity Alcohol by Volume 1.085 9.5%

Bomber (shared as instructed by bottle). Pours dark red with tan head. Lots of pine hops and nuttiness, but our bottle wasn’t very fresh.

Excellent drink. Consumed it while watching the Colts go to 13-0! Balanced malty/hop flavor with just a touch more bitterness poking through on the tongue. Aroma is malty, pine, and earthy notes.

22 oz Bottle -- Pours deep dark copper with a huge light tan head. Sweet malts are very forward on the nose but the hops take over on the palate. Interesting spice that is not overdone. Very full bodied with the alcohol making itself well known.

Murky reddish brown with a small head. Spicy, grainy-malty aroma with a touch of vegetables. Grainy-malty, sweet-caramely flavor with a touch harsh hops, some Xmas spices, and medium bitterness. Almost full-bodied, quite sticky palate. Pleasant, but still raw.

It’s a hazy, red-brown beer with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, figs, fruit, citrus and light spruce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, caramel, fruit, citrus, alcohol and spruce in the finish.
