This is an awesome American strong ale. The appearance is unreal with how thick the head it and it dosent even fade. It has a redish color to it but also kind of cloudy. As i smell it the aroma is very floral with lots of hops and malt spice. As i sip on it i love the strong hop bitterness on the tip of my tounge with a rich caramel coating. Also the bitterness does not fade as the beer slides down your throat which is very nice.

Nov 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours red with thick off white head. Aroma is pine, malt, grass. Flavor is well balanced with malts leading the way, then citrus in the back. Very smooth finish.

The beer pours a murky deep crimson with a frothy beige head with thick soapy lacing.
Strong earthy citrus, and floral notes with huge amounts of sweet malt in the nose.
The first thing that hit you is the bitterness. Then comes the malt and citrus.
Huge body and a very chewy mouthfeel. Very warming. A very tasty and well made beer. Yet another reason to look forward to the holiday season!

Nov 27, 2008 22oz bottle. Dark red color with a full off white head. Very nice hop aroma, slightly grassy. Good flavor, nicely balanced and very flavorful. Great brew.

Nov 26, 2008 Pours a deep dark red with a big fluffy head. Aromas of piny hops, fresh cut evergreen, cinnamon and candy spice. Huge hop flavor, brown sugar sweetness, rock candy sugar. Very silky and sticky. Might be my favorite beer of all time.
