Funknmilla (525), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle from trade with Matt7215...473ml can..straw colored body and barely a head, thats off-white...well it smells better than the fart I just made, that eeked from my crevice...IPA....huh??..it must stand for imitation pilsner aftertaste....overly carbonated , weird for an IPA I must say...I just don’t see this as such ...boo hoo , drink poo Aubrey (2592), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 29, 2008 Bought a six-pack of this in Canada ... you don’t wanna know what I paid for this crap. Clear and light golden with a slim head. Light and fizzy and somewhat watery texture. Bready, one-dimensional and bland malts. Light herbal bitterness. Hops were mild and weak, with no depth, aroma or lasting properties to speak of. Can’t believe they get away with calling this an IPA. saber2th (7), Harrison Township, Michigan, USA does not count Aug 24, 2008 Had this so called IPA yesterday in a can. Never saw a good IPA in a can and I still haven’t! If I tasted this blind folded I would of thought is was a Blue or a Molson, something along that line.
Just bitter, watery with little hop flavor.
Thanks, but no thanks! VeloVampire (387), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 Draught at the Skydome (refuse to call it the "Rogers Centre") - poured a fairly light gold, though not as light as the Bud my friends had. Decent enough frothy white head. Slightly earthy, corny aroma, with a lot of sweetness and a very faintly spicy hop note. Flavour much the same - kinda bland, drinkable, sweet, verrrrry subtle hops. In no sense of the word, historical or current, an IPA. Passable blond ale, preferable to Bud, Blue or Canadian, but nothing more than that. begbie100 (99), Oulu, Finland Aug 16, 2008 500ml on a tap. Very pale yellow colour, head diminishes fast. Aroma has mild tones of mustard grass. Flavour is very plain. Somewhat bitter, watery. Citrus end. No wonder that pub didn’t sell this as IPA.
