LiebeBier (740), RIchmond, Virginia, USA Feb 23, 2008 Bottle - This beer has very little hop presence. Very bland with a minimal amount of head retention. Not sure why the crack marketing team at Labatt decided on IPA, but that is not the style of beer this is.
begbie100 (99), Oulu, Finland Aug 16, 2008 500ml on a tap. Very pale yellow colour, head diminishes fast. Aroma has mild tones of mustard grass. Flavour is very plain. Somewhat bitter, watery. Citrus end. No wonder that pub didn’t sell this as IPA. Dogbrick (2209), Columbus, Ohio, USA Aug 15, 2008 Can from a beer store in Prince Rupert, BC. The beer is a pale yellowish color with a medium and fluffy white head that burns away steadily. Mild hops aroma with some malt. Light and clean body with light hops, malt and caramel flavors. The finish is sweet pale malt with a bit of hops in the aftertaste. Overall I cannot imagine in what sense of the word this would be called an IPA, and even if not it’s not very good. chops (28), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Aug 7, 2008 Probably my favorite domestic beer that is widely available at bars or restaurants in the province. Not a bad taste but is better in large quantities. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 7, 2008 Blond color, poor head. A very poor ale, it has a medium body and almost no characteristic flavor or aroma, nothing of an IPA. Boring.
