| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 26, 2006 this is now the best beer we have at my work, wich ofcource doesn’t say very much for our selection. Cource maby I am blinded by the thirst and exaustion that leaves the kitchen with me, but I find this one to be refreshing and a little better. Better than what is the question. Pours a "very clearly too perfect to be natural" ruby red, with some high levels of carbonation and a prety pathetick head of misty white fizz, but I feel that like most clasic Canadian ales {and that is what this realy is} it’s best from the bottle. Aroma is a little sweet, and a little hard to completly detect due to the mass amout of co2 flowing out of the neck. Taste is where it wins me over a 50, but only slightly. Slightly bready, nutty sweet malt makes a tiny first aperance, folowed by a very nice, yet overly small splash of nice pinny tangy hopy bitterness, folowed by a sweet and rosey finish with a trace of yeast. Add to that it’s dry, thin and slightly silky palat, and light "almost not there" mouthfeel, not to mention it’s light dry aftertase, this is a perfect realy hot, tired and thirsty, 20 seconds to swalow beer. And, realy, isn’t that what a clasic Canadian ale shoud be? not a delecate sipper for the refined palat, but an honest beer for the workin man.and in that respect, it’s a great choice over the normal montreal tavern molson and labat prodouts. But in this beer-o-centrec world of ours, this is a standard blend of artificialyfermentend grains that is for some reason called beer. All depends on you’re point of view I guess. Cheers

Not to many choices at this place but I was waiting for somebody and it was very hot .The color is a dark copper with a thick beige head, that was the good part. The taste well is of a cheap commercial beer nothing special, some hoppiness and some bitterness. oteyj (777), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Brown pour with a nice frothy nitro like head. Aroma is adjunct, grain, and a slight caramel malt note. Flavor is grainy, astringent, and mildly sweet with hints of hop bittering. Palate is very thin, making the brew an easy session, but less than ideal quaff. JaBier (1261), Capital City, Ohio, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 3, 2009 On tap at GLC in whistler. Red-amber with very little head. Aroma of caramel, light red fruits and some metallic undertones. Flavor is lightly hopped, sweet medium malt. Medium body but almost no flavor undertones, very little in the finish except sweetness. Refreshing after a day of biking but lacking as far as red and amber ales are concerned. but other than those points, its almost drinkable.
