This one however disappointed me a bit. The smell was good, but it appeared a little weak. The head was minimal. The red amber color was more clear, and the whole beer felt very watery.
The taste was nothing remarkable. Not a bad red but certainly not as palatable as Rickards. The texture was quite thin and watery, and the beer seemed to have a light weight feel, not really thick. I wasnt asking for a milkshake but I expect my red to be a little heavier.
I personally didnt love this one, and opted to have just the one trial pint and leave it at that.

Not to many choices at this place but I was waiting for somebody and it was very hot .The color is a dark copper with a thick beige head, that was the good part. The taste well is of a cheap commercial beer nothing special, some hoppiness and some bitterness. oteyj (821), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Brown pour with a nice frothy nitro like head. Aroma is adjunct, grain, and a slight caramel malt note. Flavor is grainy, astringent, and mildly sweet with hints of hop bittering. Palate is very thin, making the brew an easy session, but less than ideal quaff. JaBier (1294), Capital City, Ohio, USA

Aroma of caramel, light red fruits and some metallic undertones. Flavor is lightly hopped, sweet medium malt. Medium body but almost no flavor undertones, very little in the finish except sweetness. Refreshing after a day of biking but lacking as far as red and amber ales are concerned.
