JoeMcPhee (3628), Jackson Heights, New York, USA May 3, 2008 Thank to geth_in_beer for sending this one my way. Pale amber (much darker than their "IPA"). A touch of vienna malt within an industrial macroish malt base. Low bitterness... little flavour. Meh.
BlackDonald (696), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 Draft @ Northern Lights Steaks - This is better than I expected it would be, not that I am going to run right back out and buy it, this is going to be my only experience with it as I pass through the Yukon. Tasted very fresh and clean, lacked any kind of complexity at all, but went down very smooth, with a light bit of corny, biscuity malts. Meh. jason (1473), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 30, 2008 Draft. Poured a deep amber body with thin head. Aroma is light bread and grain, some hops. Flavor is lightly bready with some crisp citrus hops. Found myself enjoying this one more than I would have expected. Nice mouthfeel. MarkBarnes (238), Waterville, New York, USA Jun 14, 2008 On tap at the Red Lion Pub, Waterville, NY USA. First experience with this one, and it will likely be the last. Agree with the previous rater who labeled this "a very boring experience", but must disagree with another who compared this to the much-better Samuel Adams. Had to politely berate the proprietor (a friend) for replacing his keg of Ithaca Cascazilla (IPA) for this swill. prc (13), Canada May 31, 2008 I’ve always felt that this beer has been overrated. It’s simply lacking in flavour. A very boring experience. Odyn (130), USA May 24, 2008 I had this on tap at one of the few bars in the US that carries it. It tasted like Sam Adams, just without the hoppiness. More golden in color than I originally thought, but very smooth and easy to drink. It’s clean finish went very well with my fish fry.
