Bov (4558), Bienne, Switzerland May 15, 2008 courtesy of Antonio Rey Ruiz - clear bright golden colour under a foamy white head;; solid grassy nose with a touch of dust and pepper; good malt body, some sweetness and slightly oily; moderate bitterness before a quite long herbal finish - great balance
LooseCannon (581), Norfolk, Virginia, USA Jun 30, 2008 330ml bottle. Labeled as Alhambra Premium Lager. Pours clear golden in color with thin white head. Aroma and taste of malt and grain with clean finish. Drinkable Pale Lager, nothing to write home about. FarFromHome (25), casablanca, Morocco Jun 20, 2008 Bought in Casablanca, Morocco, under the name of "Alhambra Premium Lager". This implies that I have forgotten, or somehow misunderstood, what the word "premium" means. Looks all right, tastes of water and vaguely metallic. Utterly forgettable, but at least it avoids the defects of other beers I’ve had in Morocco. Sparky27 (413), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Jun 12, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Daknole. Next country: Spain. This one was a bit of a gusher when I opened it. Pours a semi-hazy honey color with 2 finger white head. Nose is grass, malt and some floral hops. Taste is sweet malt and grain with a touch of sour hops in the finish. Light-to-Medium mouth feel. Not a bad lager for the region. drpimento (457), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA May 16, 2008 Poured with a white head and a bit of lace. Clear golden yellow color, medium size bubbles. Had a malty, grassy, grainy, a tad bitter, and a hint of butterscotch. Flavor was about the same. Not bad beer. Decent body. Good finish. Could drink more of these. Had it at Cubanitas Restaurant in Milwaukee last night.
