lb4lb (1388), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 13, 2007 Nice rich gold color with just a little head.
Very slight skunk in my bottle, along with malt, and a touch of yeast. Smooth, but ample carbonation makes it pretty nice and refreshing. Decent pale lager, actually. Maybe a touch drying in the finish which gives it a slightly unique character. Very drinkable and I wouldn’t mind having again if for some reason it was availabe.
gam (529), brisbane, Australia Aug 31, 2008 Misty gold colour, good retention, aroma caramel, malt.Flavour nice hop taste with a very good bitter, malt and caramel, this is well balanced ,goes down well, best thing out of Spain since the Armada got it,s arse kicked by Sir Francis Duck and Queen Bessie, smooth finish. CamdenD (570), Madrid, Spain Aug 11, 2008 Totally drinkable lager. Again, much improved over the rest of Spanish swill. Seek out the reserva for a beer, drink this if the others are Mahou/Cruzcampo/San Miguel. jezmez68 (276), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Aug 9, 2008 Another pale lager to add to my list. Served in a bottle at Don Quijote’s restaurant in Valparaiso. Straw colored, had sort of a sweetness to it that made it unique. It is what it is. Miksu (1252), Jyväskylä, Finland Jul 31, 2008 0.33 l can. Golden color with creamy head. Honey, malt, alcohol and tart fruitiness in the aroma. The same goes for flavor, there is in addition hint of herbal hops. Alcohol and tart fruitiness dryes up the finish as usually in spanish lagers. Goes down only when the beer is ice cold and weather is hot. sir_Pino (546), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland Jul 27, 2008 No: 370

Bottle brown, 330 ml,13P
Appearance: Pours almost perfectly clear, pale golden body colour with medium carbonation, a bit higher alcohol content, higher extract of wort makes it stronger in body colour, but still pale gold. Head is foamy, slowly decreasing from small to minimal but quite dense and with some notes of lacing.
Aroma: Faint, weak, a bit mineral nose, very weak chalkyness, some accidity, some weak and poor notes of hoppyness (a bit skunky), milky, graphite.
Flavour: Front is sweetish, but on the other hand highly accidic due to high carbonation and a bit grassy hoppy in nose with bitterness and saltyness on palate. Aftertaste is strongly chalky and alcohol is also felt. Finish duration is medium to long.
Palate: Body is medium, trxture is wattery to dry, carbonation is medium on palate, finish feel is strongly chalky and gently alcoholic.
