4-Pack that recently showed up, I’ve liked what I’ve had from Allagash so far so I didn’t need any convincing to give this a try. Dark, fruity malt aroma with an earthy/grainy quality partnered with mild spices. Deep amber pour with a 1/4" foamy head and great lacing. Hearty with a complex finish that leaves this beer clean and drinkable. Solid flavors of figs, raisins, and musty yeast. Some toasted malt and toffee was also noticed along with a bit of coffee and licorice. Not overly complex for it’s style, a solid offering.

75cl bottle from Total Wine (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark cloudy brown with a thin white/tan head with minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar, candy sugar, yeast. Flavor is roasted malt, brown sugar, some spice, yeast, bread. Medium-bodied with a smooth finish. Nice ale.

Bottle Pours out a hazy mahogany topped with a nice sand head. Aroma of yeast, some spice and a little sweetness. Tast the yeast along with some clove and a few other spices. Not bad

Poured a muddy dark brown color with a white-ish head with good retention. Smell was spicey with a bit of clove, seemed different. Light taste of brown sugar and spice, and a little clove, just seemed bland. Light bodied, high carbonation. Really light and dry on the tongue, I was looking forward to trying this, just a little let down. I may try it again sometime to see if I was missing something, but I really didn’t care for this.

12 oz. Translucent mahogany with a two-finger head that settles into a lasting ring with soapy lace. Aroma is clove, banana, and wheat bread. Flavor is similar, with some cocoa and the spicy banana on front, and the wheat bread and dry yeast on the finish. Some sourish berry thrown in for good measure. Medium body is lightly carbonated smooth and dry.

750 ml bottle. Bach #62. Dark leather color. Thin, off white head. Aroma of honey and maple syrup. Yeasty flavor with a bready malt backbone. Dark fruits come out to play as well. Clean finish.

Quite drinkable, albeit not a favorite, and probably not something I would seek out again, but I am glad that I was able to try this beer. Tastes reminiscent of a doughy cinnamon raisin swirl sweet bread. Washed down with some fruit juice. Liquid bread.
