Pours a light golden amber. Smells of nuts and sports a light foamy head. The sweet malt flavor finishes vy smooth without an overly alcoholic taste.

I give this dubbel high marks...dark and rich yet silky smooth, it is as good as some of the Belgian imports yet more affordable. Raisin and chocolate flavors dominate. This gets better and better each time I drink it.

Pours a blood amber with a small whitish head. Aroma is hoppy and malty with dark fruit. It has a darker fruit taste that is almost smoky with a slightly bitter and spicy finish. Easy drinking.

25.4 oz bottle, batch 55. Clouded chestnut brown with a light tan, skin head. Lacy borealis. Sourish pumpernickel dough and brown sugar. Smooth body with light carb and a little toastiness. Mild carmelized orange. Allagash Reserves always solid with unique, but toned down, takes on style.

Poured a dark opaque brown with a thin tan head. Has faint hints of malts, semi-sweet chocolate, and earthy taste. Finished with a thin dry taste of spices.

Quite malty with with a nice array of baking spice flavors. My only complaint is that the flavors taste a little too light, I would prefer a little more oomph.

Bottle. River water look but with more light it is actually a nice red amber color with a thin tan head. Most noticeable in the aroma is the hop characteristic which is nicely paired with some dark fruits. Chocolate is also noticeable which is nice. The flavor is surprising - more like a stout than what I expected - sweet chocolate and coffee and a smoky taste covers the tongue. Very easy but boring flavor wise.
