| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Aug 22, 2007 I give this dubbel high marks...dark and rich yet silky smooth, it is as good as some of the Belgian imports yet more affordable. Raisin and chocolate flavors dominate. This gets better and better each time I drink it. Petrucci914 (601), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Pours a blood amber with a small whitish head. Aroma is hoppy and malty with dark fruit. It has a darker fruit taste that is almost smoky with a slightly bitter and spicy finish. Easy drinking. TheEpeeist (1491), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 4, 2007 Quite malty with with a nice array of baking spice flavors. My only complaint is that the flavors taste a little too light, I would prefer a little more oomph. Braincage1 (143), Cary, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 3, 2007 Bottle. River water look but with more light it is actually a nice red amber color with a thin tan head. Most noticeable in the aroma is the hop characteristic which is nicely paired with some dark fruits. Chocolate is also noticeable which is nice. The flavor is surprising - more like a stout than what I expected - sweet chocolate and coffee and a smoky taste covers the tongue. Very easy but boring flavor wise.
