Mar 19, 2008 At first glance it looked very promising. It’s aroma was strong and the first sip was almost sour. It was such a strong, overwhelming flavor. And the alcohol burn was intense. Mar 11, 2008 Poured a hazy golden amber color with a medium sized, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of some toast, strong cardamom, citrus fruits, orange peel, and a bit of alcohol. Taste of earthy yeast, honey, some cardboard, toffee, toasted dough and lots of spiciness... finishes lightly bitter, with some moderate alcohol as well. I guess more age would do this better. I have no experience with yarrow, but i’d imagine its similar to cardamom.

Mar 9, 2008 Bottle, Orange/Yellow hazy pour with a bready aroma.A nice warm mouth feel with a hint of spice and yeast. A bit of floral notes and pretty easy to drink. I rather enjoyed this.

Mar 8, 2008 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy orange body with a small off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, black pepper, corn starch paste, sour dough, some dried basil, and other herbs/floral notes (mostly what I expect is yarrow). Flavor of citrus, light floral (yarrow?), butterscotch, yeasty, and some dried tangerine.

Feb 21, 2008 Corked bottle and served in Duvel snifter: Deep golden hue with a fizzy head and spotty lacing. The aroma has notes of herbal and grassy hops, rye and bready malts, hint of crabapple and starfruit, and an overall yeasty ester.
The flavor profile is wonderfully spicy and herbal with a light acidic fruit background supporting the pale malt and yeast base. The rye and yarrow really shine with the mild bitterness towards the finish. The mouth feel is sprite and aggressive with some alcohol warming noted. A bit chalky and dirty on the aftertaste.
Overall very interesting that I really liked at first but the spice influence does start to wear on me after awhile. You want to have someone to share this with. Worthy of a try.

Feb 20, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a deep orangey/beige color ale with a large foamy head with great retention and some lacing. Aroma comprised a spicy yeast note with some spices mix and deep Belgian malt. Taste consisted in full Belgian malt with some sweet notes which were well balance with spicy yeast notes and some nice spices mix. Full body with some great carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very good overall but there seams to be lacking something in here.

Feb 19, 2008 Hazy pale body with a medium-sized white head. The nose is light with herbal/grassy hops and grapes. The flavor is herbal and medicinal with cotton candy and golden raisins. Medium/full body is round with moderate carbonation and a warm, astringent finish.
