Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of fruit - especially peaches. The falvor is sweet mlaty with fruity notes of peaches, citrysy notes of hops as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry bitter finish. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 26, 2008 (Bottle 75 cl) Courtesy of BrianK. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Sweetish herbal aroma. Quite full-bodied, sweetish herbal with an abundance of pale malts. Sticky - almost fat texture. Very subdued bitterness with a somewhat astringent, herbal finish. 190408 Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 23, 2008 Cloudy golden-orange colour. The aroma is herbal, spicy (mint, chamomile, cinnamon) and toasty with breadcrusty malts and rye. Huge herbal character - must be the yarrow - with lots of chewy rye, full maltiness. Big and rounded with a peppery finish. Very unique, well-balanced brew with accents of both Belgium and gruit. Impressive effort, muddled only by a slighlty overt yeastiness. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Apr 20, 2008 Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #29: Pours hazy yellow to orange with fully diminished white head. Lime to citrusy hops aroma. Flavour is light caramel malt nicely blended with a delicate citrusy hoppy flavour. Light yeasty touch into the finish followed by a nice lingering hops finish. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 21, 2008 Bottle.
