| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 8, 2009 Pours a hazy amber with not a whole lot of head. The ginger aroma is very evident right off the bat; reminds me of dark ’n stormies. The problem with me (maybe just me) is that I drink a fair share of dark ’n stormies & I don’t really think that the combination of heavy ginger with the taste of a traditional Belgian strong ale goes very well. It does even out after a few sips, but it’s just not for me. Finishes clean, & very well done, & an interesting beer, nonetheless. ericandersnavy (1131), crossroads, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 24, 2009 Bottle. Aroma is spicy, wheaty, medium sweet. Pretty light golden body, thick white head. Flavorful wheat blend, spicy without the notorious Allagash tendency toward over-sweetness. This is my favorite of Allagash’s offerings so far. blutt59 (2147), Dallas, Texas, USA
