The aroma is a real adventure as this beer breathes and warms up. Next it moves onto smelling like the perfect ginger bread house, and then medicinal like a honey ginger cough drop. All along the taste follows suit, although in a slightly muted way. This was a very interesting beer, mostly because of the aroma. The heavy-handed spicing became quite un-bearable as it warmed, which was unfortunate. rustychiles (1057), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Orange, ginger and funky alcohol aromas. Marshmallow upfront turning spicy cloves in the middle and orange citrus hop in the finish. Went great with traditional Swiss fondue. adrian910ss (1432), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 24, 2009 What’s a double white? I never heard of a double white. Sort of like an Imperial Lite? Anyway, works better than it sounds. Good wheaty and gingery nose, great wheaty lacing. Fruity, peppery, clovey, and, of course, gingery taste. Served with dessert, which seemed like a very good idea at the time. Boutip (2380), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2009 Bottle: Poured a cloudy bright yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of ginger and wheat with a slightly peppery yeast and some nice fruity ester. Taste is very refreshing with loads of ginger and wheat with some very nice fruity ester. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation with no signs of alcohol. Very well done with great refreshing taste but some real complexity.
