The flavors reminded me of a crisp, citrusy brew with a slightly yeasty finish on it. Slightly sweet as well. doubleo (1121), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2008 On-tap at PP C Bad. Pours hazy straw yellow with a moderate white head, spider web lace. Smells subdued sugary and malty sweet, slight yeast, slight spice. Tastes light and sugary malty with some earthy hops and a little yeast and sweet spices as well. Overall light flavor but it hides the alcohol well. Medium, yet syrupy body with good carbonation. carl4beer (409), Fairfax Station, Virginia, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 28, 2008 On draft at Brouwer’s. Pours a deep, cloudy honey amber with a huge head. Earthy and fruity, with a ton of depth to the flavor. Yeast, ginger and other spices, citrus and lavender (we agonized for 20 minutes over what that flavor was - it’s definitely lavender). Almost like a good gingerbread, and possibly slightly medicinal, or bubble-gummish (one fellow taster exclaimed he found a note of Flintstones vitamins in it). Incredibly intriguing flavor - I liked it quite a bit. SuzyGreenberg (1408), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bottle from Holiday Wine. There is a mild and tame aroma of some unknown spice and hint of ginger but to faint for me to rate this any higher then my nose is willing to score. Appears as a glowing yellowish white with firm creation of foam heading. The flavor is more apparent of ginger than the scent lead me to believe and there is also more spicing that is still hard to define but could be easily described as cinnamon, hazelnut or more obvious mint leaf. bhensonb (4384), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 17, 2008 Shared by Marcus. Ledger’s label said 0808, so assuming it’s 2008. Hazy orange-golden color with a frothy, lacing white head. Aroma is spicey! Quite strong - it’s gingery. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is ginger over malt. It’s a good ginger beer. Soft, smooth and lightly biting. Fantastic - but au fonde it’s a simple beer. Simple, but seductive. I want more. marcus (1902), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 17, 2008 This golden ale poured with a bubbly white head and a bubble gum aroma. Same bubble gum flavor with a bitter finish and lots of carbonation. Heavily spiced, especially ginger.
