Jan 14, 2007 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is very alcoholic combined with notes of over ripe fruits, and a bit of whiskey. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, which leaves a bite in the mouth, but also with notes of over ripe fruits and lighter notes of prunes and spices, leading to a slightly bitter end. To me it would be even better if it was a bit more spicy.

Jan 14, 2007 (Bottle 75 cl) Slightly hazy, dark amber with an off-white head. Complex, fruity and quite vinous aroma. Solid body with lots of fruit and sweetish caramel. Very complex, vinous, sherry-like flavours with a rather heavy alcoholic finish. 080107

May 17, 2004 Surprisingly mediocre offering from what really good brewer. Copper-tan colour. Aroma is alcohol, grapes, clove and yeast. This doesn’t come together very well and does not offer anything that stirs the senses. Dryish palate. Some maltiness and a little bit of fruitiness. By the numbers quad.

May 3, 2004 Deep cloudy copper topped by healthy beige foamy head. Aroma is mild sweet, herbal, pepper. Taste is medium sweet, herbal. The alcohol is well hidden, though the fullness of the smooth body lets you know you’re not just drinking lemonade. Still, remarkably drinkable.
