If you like the other wheaty Allagash brews, this won’t disapoint. iowaherkeye (1856), Los Angeles, California, USA

Pours a hazy honey caramel with a two and a half finger light yellowish frothy head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, pears, apples, toffee, light leather and spice. Flavor adds a bit of earth and alcohol, and though it is sweet, not near as sweet as I was expecting from the aroma. There are also some biscuits. Citrus hops (like in the Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen) are present in the dry finish. Medium body with fairly high carbonation. crazyvin (1252), New York, USA

Pours a cloudy amber brew with a medium off-white head. The lacing was average. Aroma reminded me of Pillsbury cressant dough with some yeast and grapefruit. Taste is smooth with a citrus carameled hop bite. Other flavors picked up were sweet malt, licorice, coriander and a some alcohol. The palate was dry bitterness and then disappeared in the aftertaste. onehotsexychic (101), Albany, New York, USA

Prolly would be good with food, but just sampling in the bar it was a little heavy/strong for my liking. I don’t know maybe I got a bad one seeing how so many others enjoyed! guzzler67 (1280), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2007 Cloudy, amber/gold appearance with a medium size, off white head and modest lacing. Yeasty, spicy aroma along with some soft fruitiness. Taste is moderately sweet, malty, spicy, with only a slight acknowledgement of hops. Medium-to-full bodied, affably carbonated mouthfeel. Bitter, peppery, long lasting finish. padrefan98 (788), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2007 750 ml bottle. Pours a murky golden red. Huge head that dissapated quickly. Spices and apple in taste. Very good. fordest (1954), Santee/San Diego, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2007 750 ml bottle. Aromas are a bit sour and maybe a touch of skunk. A bit of cherry maybe. Hazy reddish orange with a really nice foamy head that left decent lacing. Flavors were better with a nice maltiness that had some spice to it. Some alcohol flavor as well. Not too bad.
