This, out of the dubbel, trippel and white, I like the best out of this lineup. Nice and sweet, light yeast, and the apple hints are nice. Nice bite on the tongue as well, good balance of the carbonation, not too much, but helps make the drink refreshing. Color and glass display are much like everybody else describes...

Sep 6, 2008 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazyy amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma of yeast, spices and grapefruit. Flavor of spices, malt , citrus and light hops. The taste of coriander is very evident in the end. Has a dry slighty metallic finish.

Sep 4, 2008 Pours a red orange with some haze. The head was 1-2 fingers thick, creamy, yellow. Thenose was sweet lightly spiced, some nutmeg, lighly belgian. The flavor was a bit grainy, spicy, sweet, lightly funky, warm. The palate was smooth and fully carbonated. Finishes sweet and spicy

Aug 27, 2008 75cl bottle from Pristine Liquors (Spring Hill, FL). Pours an opaque dark copper color with a thick and foamy white head that settles slowly. Head provides lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel and honey. Hints of nuts, spice and yeast. Flavor is sweet malt, candy sugar, banana, some ripe fruit, maybe some apples and plums. Generally medium bodied with sweet malty finish. Nice ale.

Aug 26, 2008 (Bottle). Spicy fruit aroma. Hazy orange color with thin head. Flavor is fruity with spice and sweetness. Rather soda pop-ish, and not too impressive. Compared to something like Rochefort 8, this Allagash lacks complexity and character.
