webjedi (247), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA May 18, 2008 This, out of the dubbel, trippel and white, I like the best out of this lineup. Nice and sweet, light yeast, and the apple hints are nice. Nice bite on the tongue as well, good balance of the carbonation, not too much, but helps make the drink refreshing. Color and glass display are much like everybody else describes...

Pours an opaque dark copper color with a thick and foamy white head that settles slowly. Head provides lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of caramel and honey. Hints of nuts, spice and yeast. Flavor is sweet malt, candy sugar, banana, some ripe fruit, maybe some apples and plums. Generally medium bodied with sweet malty finish. Nice ale. DrDavid (207), , Vermont, USA Aug 26, 2008 (Bottle). Spicy fruit aroma. Hazy orange color with thin head. Flavor is fruity with spice and sweetness. Rather soda pop-ish, and not too impressive. Compared to something like Rochefort 8, this Allagash lacks complexity and character.
