Bottle, thanks Marsiblursi. Deep hazy ruby amber with a medium fluffy off-white head. Fruity, slightly roasted, malt aroma, estery, with woody notes. medium bodied, velvetly smooth with soft carbonation. Excellent balance with a light sweetness and a dry finish.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Fruits, vanilla, alcohol, sweetness and nuts in the aroma. Flavour as well is nutty and spicy. Has caramel and sweetnotes. Is medium bodied. Dry. Sweetish spiced end, with a warming mouthfeel. Thanks to jjpm74 for this.

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of toffee, dark fruit, pears and spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of toffee, carmel, spices, apple and a hint of oak with a crisp lingering spiced finish.

On tap at Capones, 9 oz. poured into a snifter. Pours a very cloudy brown with a small tan head. The scent is fruit, figs, carmel and oak. The nice surprise on the palate was the hints of vanilla to go along with the oak and malty flavors. As the beer warmed, the oak and vanilla played well together and were perfect on the palate. This was a very nice beer.

Draught at Capone’s. Deep amber brown body with nice head. Aroma is of dried fruit, oak, caramel and light spices. Flavor is dried currants, oak, vanilla, caramel, bosc pear, light smoke. This was smoother than I expected it to be. A nice sipping beer.
