Commercial Description:
Allagash Brewing Company would like to introduce its Tenth Anniversary Ale, a special 10% ABV beer that celebrates 10 years of brewing artisinal Belgian Style ales. A unique interpretation of our flagship Allagash White, Tenth Anniversary is a blend of two different whites: a sweeter batch (brewed in February, 2005) and a drier batch (brewed in March, 2005). By blending the two batches, an additional complexity is imparted. Further complexity, most notably expressed by the delicate vanilla notes, was gained by aging some of the beer in new oak barrels.

thanks to richlikebeer for sending this 750ml bottle my way in a trade. beer no. 5 at the Iowa city gathering. a somewhat floral yeasty aroma with some pineapple, clove and coriander noted. similiar flavors with some pepper in the mix. not too much carbonation which suits me just fine. tastey stuff.

Poured a hazey yellow with a white head. Candy sugar/bubblegum aroma. This was pretty bright and sweet as it hit the tongue. Some citrusy flavors too. Dry finish, smooth going down.

This poured a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. The aroma was dry apples with hay, cinnamon and peaches. There was also a fresh pineapple note. The taste was more dry tan I expected after the aroma. The taste had spicy apple core. There was also some dry canned apricots and a little cinnamon. This is a strange package.

(Bottle 75 cl) Hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Spicy, citrusy nose with a distinct touch of yeast. Malty, spicy flavours with floral notes and a hint of citrus. Rather dry and fresh. Quite lovely. 031205

(on bottle at CPH Yeha05)Fresh, spivy aroma her; mint, green cardemomme and some bananaesters. Pale yellow, hazy and a white head. I´m sorry to say, but the banana gets irritation in the flavour and ruins the malt and alcohol feel. Foamy, fat finish.

Pours with an orangish-gold body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing. It’s sweet, malty and slightly spicy with a note of rotten fruit. Medium bodied and smooth.

Bottle. Golden colour with a weak head. Aroma and flavour of citrus, yeast, and coriander, someway nice but not great. The alcohol are well hidden.
