Residuel candy suger and spices, sort of reminds me of horny devil, in a way. Slight alcohol burn in the finish. Sort of one-dimensional, but enjoyed it very muh. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2005 bottle from the small grocery around the corner...for $15, this better be amazing. cork is popped, and immediately the bottle starts spewing suds. maybe this one was a bit overcarbonated from the blending?
pours a cloudy light amber, with (as the carbonation would indicate) a big white head that stays around for a while, then laces down the glass.
aroma is spices and lots of fruity malts.
full body. flavor is very malty, apples, with not quite enough spice to make the finish balanced: this is decidedly sweet in the finish. hides the alcohol quite well, but aside from that, I feel like a "strong wit" (if that’s what we’re calling this) can definitely be done better. I didn’t get much/any of the "vanilla notes" the description claims...maybe they re-used barrels from making oddessy?
Overall, it’s a decent beer, but no way I’d pay $15 for another bottle. sunevdj (1784), Copenhagen OE, Denmark

Very sweet with aromas of spices, yeast, nuts and pepper. Feels quite fizzy in the mouth. Sticky. A bit more like a Belgian wheat or maybe a trippel. joergen (8627), Frederiksberg, Denmark
