Flavour is quite citric, sweet and light spiced. Is grapish and has notes of alcohol. Is dry and spiced in the end. Reminds me more of a Abbey Tripel than a Strong Ale. Milky yellow body with a small white head. Sweet and yeasty flavor, with a light spicy finish. Ungstrup (15371), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The aroma is sweet spicy combined with notes of peaches, alcohol, and hints of hops. The flavor is very sweet and very spicy - I detect coriander, but also a fruitiness with peaches coming thru. The end is dry and still spicy. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Freshly backed cheezy bread, sprinkled with spices with a low-key alcohol finish.
A little maderized with notes of caramel, sweet and yeasty mouthfeel, that mixed with the alcohol piquant to give a pleasant, tingly feeling in my gullet. For some reason, the booze just exploded when I tasted it along with a piece of bread. beerbuzzmontreal (2917), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Nice, enjoyable aroma of pears, spices and yeast. The flavor is, good and entertaining with its pears, spices and yeast. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. This is a good, solid beer from a good, solid brewery. MartinT (5068), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2005 Updated: Apr 7, 2008The Lure: Lavender, coriander, ginger and miscellaneous flower petals bloom in a bright and alluring perfume. Fruity pear esters join in the fun, laid smoothly on fluffy bread. All this coming from a gushing bottle, quite surprising.
The Festivities: Frothy and prickly carbonation plows through the spice-laden honey sweetness. Oranges and white grapes bounce off the resting yeast. A little thin maybe for such a big beer, but an exciting ultrawit nonetheless.
Transcendence: A colourful reef through wavy seas. Crosling (1855), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Big time fruit and spice aroma, curacao heavy, with hints of coriander, peach, strawberry and apricot. Heavy witbier spicing, yet it seemed perfect for me. Big malt, with loads of butter toffee and fruit flavors, while the yeast most definately reveals it’s Belgianess. Nice balance. Must say I enjoyed this and it’s no surprise because if I enjoy a good wit, why wouldn’t I enjoy a good Triple wit. Hugerat (432), somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 8, 2005 Cindy at the NEBF described this beer as a combination of "old white and new white." Doesn’t look that way based on the description here. Not much difference between this and ordianry allagash white, or any other white for that matter. Perhaps a tad bit spicier with noticeably higher alcohol content. but amping up the alcohol isn’t enough to impress me.
