Big fluffy, crocky white head, lmostly lasting leaving sheets of lace. Citrus, lemon, yeast, spice nose. Palate is banana, pineapple, orange/lemon, coriander, herbal notes, with a dry vanilla, woody finish. Hot on the end, alcohol, pepper. Nice brew, I wish there was more of this kickin around. Pale and hazy yellow-gold color with a very thick white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of yeast, lemon and spices. Medium-bodied and I like the amped-up Allagash White interpretation. Floral character with lots of sweet spices, citrus and yeast. The alcohol is always in the background too. The finish is dry and lightly bitter with a bit of toasted malt. Impressive. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Opened at the Logan Ratebeer gathering: Hazy golden hue with a nice frothy head. The aroma has notes of coriander, white pepper, yeasty esters, bready malts, vanilla, oaky, and a bit phenolic. The taste starts with a twangy fruit character (kiwi, starfruit, orange peel) with a malty and vanilla overtone. Light pepper and bitter finish with some oak aftertaste. The feel is sharp at first then smooths out, nicely done. Yes, I think I want a bottle for myself and will leave it on my wishlist. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2005 When Ernest said this beer reminded him of Unibroue, I’m in total agreement. Color is straw yellow to light golden. Way to much carbonation. Aroma is sweet, yeasty and fruity like pineapple. I don’t pick up much of the wood and as light as this beer is, I thought it would be prevalent. Real syrupy mouth feel. Overall I’ve had any number of Allagash beers that I’ve like a lot more. Thx to The_Beer_God for this one. Dorwart (1822), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2005 Large efferevescence. Almost boiled over when I popped the cork. Large white head reduces to a thin foam. Soft fruity aroma with peaches, pineapple, wheat and a hint of spices. Very nice aroma. Color is a medium gold. Flavor is mild with a little bit of fruit, wheat and spices. Hides its alcohol pretty damn well for such a thin brew. Does warm the innards as it goes down though and makes the mouth tingle after a couple of sips. Little dry and pasty palate. A pretty darn good brew and one I know is going to kick my butt by the time I get to the bottom of the bottle. Pailhead (2602), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 8, 2005 Bottle: Courtesy of IMtheOptimator via trade. Aroma is citrusy, lemony, and grassiness. Pours a hazy orange with a moderate white head that lasts a minute or so. Sweet and yeasty up front with some orange peel in the background. Finishes a little spicey but can pinpoint the spice. Orange peel increases in the finish. Alcohol is hidden very well. Mangino (1027), Mississippi, USA

Aroma of butterscotch, lemon, corriander, black pepper. Spicy and sweet. Flavor is lemons, very smooth, wheatyness, think cereal. Gummy bears, easy finish. Alcohol covered very well. Thanks to Pitonka for opening this up. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is citrus(lemon and orange), wheat malt and a tad of coriander. Flavor starts of sweet, before turning slightly tart with lots of citrus. Wheat, bitter oranges, coriander and black pepper are the flavors that stand out to me. Heavy carbonation. Very enjoyable.
