Commercial Description:
This golden hued ale is marked by passion fruit and herbal notes in the aroma, with subtle suggestions of banana and honey surfacing from its deep and complex palate. The Tripel's finish is remarkably long and soothing.

Batch 97 from a 750 ml bottle. pale golden beer, crystal clear with a pillowy white head. Aroma is spicy with a soft apricot fruity sweetness. Slightly earthy on the nose as well with a soft bready maltiness that is quite unusual in this style. Very fruity, especially as it warms, giving off apple, pear, peach, apricot and a hint of banana with a soft wheaty background. There is a soft caramelly sweetness in back along with the bready character. Fruits seems overly ripe and the beer starts to get cloying. This bottle probably could have used another six months on it.

Golden with nice, white persistent head, good lacing; pretty to look at. Wheaty, yeasty aromas with fruity, citrus spice scents as well. Flavors of wheat, banana, and fruit; with lingering spice and lengthy dry finish. Alcohol is well disguised considering the high abv. Very nice tripel

Golden pour, extremely frothy. Aroma of honey, grass, yeast and alcohol. Kind of like an overweight pils. Hint of Christmas spice and gingerbread. Strong and sweet on the tongue. A messy, hot green apple mash with bananas long since browned. Sugary and a little sulphuric. Wet hay sitting in the sun, and iron. Palate is slightly abrasive especially as it warms quite quickly. Smacks a a bit sour. This one really never came together. Thanks Andrew!

(Bottle) Pours amber. Incense, clove, and cardamom in aroma with some more subtle notes of spices, herbs and yeast. Flowery and light grassy hops. Also notes of bananas and some even more exotic fruits. Rather creamy nose. Creamy malt and yeast in flavour some spices and fruits to back it up. Light dry and medium bodied. One of the best US triples out there.

Unclear yellow with a small white head. Strong spicy aroma with alcohol and fruit, peach in particular. Big flavour, dry and fruity, and wonderfully easy to drink.

750ml Batch 98. Yellowish golden ale w/ large white head, a bit of cloudiness. Nose of sweet goodness (yeast, hops & alcohol). Taste is a battle between yeast & spices, both heavy-weight contenders... some might have called it a draw but I give it to the spices. Pepper, clove, honey, and anise(?). Really comes across Belgian. Impressive & truly a champ.

Tastes like honey and yeast and malt. Pours a nice saturated yellow color with a decent sized soapy head. Tastes like honey and malt. Pretty good but I was surprised to see it was considered one of the best.

Bready, doughy yeast aroma, quicly mixed with and then dominated by apple-peach fruit. Taste is that doughy yeast with touchs of honey, vanilla, banana, and soon alcohol, has a little grainey hop harshness in finish. Well done for style, just something I would not reorder because of yeast domination
