This is a great abbey tripel for the summer months. Yeasty enough to remain crisp. Great looking foamy head. I like this one quite a bit, but too hard it’s often difficult to find outside of New England. elmatador00 (518), j-action-ville, North Carolina, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 6, 2007 Peel the label off and it may be hard to convince me that this tripel is brewed in the US and not in Belgium, from the style of bottle to the cork to the taste. The beer poured honey colored and hazy with a good size white head. It is definitely active and effervescent. It smells of bananas, cloves and bubble gum. Tastes are wheaty and sweet with spices. As it warms there is a perfuminess to the taste foloowed by a candied sweetness and a honey like finish. Mouthfeel starts as crisp with a alcohol punch in the finish and as it warms it becomes more smooth and mellowed. Overall highly drinkable and dangerous.
