Pours a great golden orange color with a huge creamy white head that leaves a great lace. The nose is full of fruit and yeast at first, with notes of spiciness as the beer warms. The taste was delightfully smooth beginning malty sweetness, fruity and yeasty in the middle and ending with a tart, citrus bitterness. Alcohol makes its presence known in the finish, but is surprisingly subdued for the higher alcohol. Full bodied with a full but crisp mouthfeel. Delicious. EHopper (348), Minnesota, USA

Felt is was just a good, traditional Belgium. Immediately good, some sour, some bitter, very bubbly put dissipates fast and with it the beer seems to lose something. Still nothing I would ever turn down. lithy (1800), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

After falling there is a full sheet of foam retained on the glass. A fruity spicy aroma with just a bit of alcohol noticeable. Bright fruits, pears and pineapple with lots of cloves mixed in. Taste is more fruits, passion fruit, pineapple, pears, floral honey, lots of spicing, alcohol spicing, no heat though. MJGG (423), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2009 750ml Bottle from Champanes, sampled in a tulip glass,
has a orange pour with some darker orange and yellow hues, there is a little haze from the fine particles in the brew, decent effervescence, produced a creamy white head that hangs around and leaves white bubbled lacing on the glass,
aromas of fresh orange and pear fruit, orange skin, citrus, faint floral and spice notes, pale malt, faint light fruit and white sugar sweetness,
flavors of bright light fruit – orange and lemon with flavor of pale malt, and has spice, tartness and pepper at the finish, and is dry at the finish,
mouth feel is light, less than medium, creamy, a touch of alcohol warmth with each sip after the ale warmed up a bit,
this Tripel has a good presentation, nice nose and flavors, a very good beer.
