Sampled from 22 oz. bottle. Distinctly different from the Dubbel. Orange peel and coriander burst out of the nose. Color is just a shade darker than a pilsner, may be even be a tad lighter than the dubbel. Taste is orangey and grainy. Any extra sugar in the brew is not too apparent, as there’s a well hidden hop balance to keep this enjoyable. Alcohol is also very well hidden, so be careful with this one.

Oct 7, 2008 Thanks to Pollo. Pours a medium golden color with a white head. Medium bodied, nice yeasty acidity, very spicy and a very long finish. Excellent.

Oct 1, 2008 Great beer. Pours a hazy amber with a head that lasts throughout the drinking time. Smells of honey and yeast, very nice. Extremely balanced and mellow taste, has a certain sweetness to it. Also has hints of spice and malt. Medium mouthfeel, just about right for a tripel. Very good beer, about the best American tripel I have had.

Sep 30, 2008 Brewfest NY 08. Man i wish i was able to write down notes at the fest, but it was pouring rain and I had an umbrella in one hand, and my drinking glass in the other. I remember this being pretty decent though. Obviously need to try it again.
