| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Flanagan’s Liquors in Appleton, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light multi-grain malt, some citrus zest, light herbal spice, and a touch of banana esters. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with a more wit flavor than its aroma. More banana, yeast and clove flavors come out in the taste. Finish is semi-sweet, a little watery with a dry banana and yeast aftertaste flavor. Hopdup (71), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2008 20? oz bottle. Poured a golden yellow with a little cloudiness not as much head. Some citrus on the nose. It was light and the flavor was not very complex as you may expect from Allagash. Stick with Hoegaarden. rayOfBeer (319), El Cerrito, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Poured from tap a light pale blond with nice creamy white head. Lots of spice and citrus in the aroma. Taste of clove, banana, citrus with a bit of bubble gum sweetness. It ends a bit dry and powdery with not enough carbonation to give a great acidic pop like other wheat beers. Overall, great flavor I just wish they upped the carbonation. oteyj (800), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Pours light lager color with minimal head. Nose of citrus caramel with a hint of hops and yeast. Very crisp mouthfeel with dry finish. A bit thin on the palate though. Flavors of citrus, floral malt with some hop astringency near the end. Very tastey and very drinkable- a winner for its style. craftycarl21 (580), South Hero, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2008 pretty solid aroma, nice for a witbier. appearance obviously not as impressive as a dark beer, but nice coloration. very nice flavor- citrusy first hit, with a very dry finish- more complexity than your typical witbier. palate pretty ordinary, but not bad. very tasty beer overall. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Batch 24: A very pale yellow with moderate amount of particulates and zero head/lacing. Lemon and yeast dominate here both in flavor and aroma. Nothing special here...one small step above Blue Moon, unfortunately no giants leaps in brew-kind. darkguardian (506), Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Served fairly cold into a tumbler from a 12 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange with yeast particles and whitish head that was fairly small. Aroma was of citrus, yeast and spice. Flavor is strong in citrus, orange in particular but very smooth with a small and unique hop and spice bite at the end. Good carbonation. A very solid white if not as great as some abbey whites. This beer is also very drinkable and sessionable. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
