Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White delicately balances full flavor with a crisp, refreshing taste and subtle hints of spice. Naturally cloudy, bottled with yeast.

This is by no means a bad drink, but apparently we (Jenn and I) do not care for Belgian Whites that much. As far as Belgian Whites go, however, it is a good one (our experience with them is limited).

Draft. Nice and easy to drink belgian white. Smooth, some lemon citrus, yeast and a bit of spice. Refreshing.

Tap at Bonn Lair. Pretty orange-yellow color with a thick white head. Slight grassy nose with corriander. Spicey taste -- heavy corriander -- more than I like, but a full flavor.

12oz bottle. Poured hazy medium golden with a sticky cap of white head.. lots of sediment suspended in there. The aroma picked up toasted wheaty notes and spices (coriander and orange zest come to mind) along with what seemed to be oaky character.. more of the citrus as it warmed up. The flavor had pale, rather non-descript malts at the core with citrus zest and spices surrounding.. dry, grainy, and a little cardboardey.. a tad sour (in a good way) on the rather quick finish. Light-medium-bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. grainy and sour.. man.. this wasn’t bad, but it tasted like it was old.

Had this at a beer tasting at Wine World in NA. Really liked it but I don’t think as much as I like Hoegaarden. Probably need to drink them side by side, but they are very similar....but Allagash costs more.

Draft at Internation Beer Garten (Lutz, FL). Pours a cloudy lemon yellow color with a small white head. Nice, light aroma of citrus, spices, and yeast. Good, clean flavor with a slight tartness in the aftertaste. A decent witbier.

nose is ultra clean, perhaps a splash of sea water. flavor is lemon and light yeast. gritty but passes clean quite quickly. clean...refreshing...thirst quenching...but almost devoid of subtleties.
