marcus (1095), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 29, 2008 This cloudy yellow beer poured with a massive white head that lasted a while. There is a citrus aroma and a wheat flavor that is seriously spiced, but otherwise rather bland. Quite refreshing, but light in taste.
To be honest I am partial to this style, but I really couldn’t find anything I didn’t like about it. Pours light and hazy. elihapa (382), Hawaii, USA Oct 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours very light, probably yellow with orange tints. Flavor is of soft flowers, clove, vanilla and sugar. A strange beer indeed, given its subtlety and ambient sweetness. Finishes with more prominent wheat and spice notes, all the while maintaining sweet backbone. tarheels86 (149), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Oct 30, 2008 330 mL bottle. This was a disappointment after all of the hype. Pours an unfiltered, hazy, bright yellow with a thin, white head. Aroma is typical witbier: cloves, coriandor, orange peel, and lemon plus some yeasty notes. Taste has a kick of bananas like a good wheat beer. Still lots of spice. Refreshing with a lingering aftertaste of citrus and yeast. Palate is watery and thin. Overall a good witbier but by no means an excellent example.
