Bottled@fonefan. Golden colour, small head. Big pieces of gingerroots floating around. Aroma is quite much spices and ginger. Flavour is quite much ginger, flowery hops as well as some herbal notes. Quite pleasant. The gingerthingies are quite hot and burning if you chew them, not chili hot but really spicy burning in a mellow way.

Bottle 50cl.
Clear medium yellow orange color with floating ginger lumps, a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy ginger, moderate soapy, as a start quit unpleasent but as the sips gow’s down it get’s better and better ;O) Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy spicy - ginger bitter with a average to long duration, and a long ginger burn in the finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090620]

Courtesy of Fonefan. It is a warm golden beer with a small head and big pieces of ginger, really big. The aroma holds a lot of ginger and a light sweetness. The flavour has sweetness and notes of loads of ginger, pepper and soap. To fully appreciate this one, you must be addicted to ginger.

Bottle that I picked up at the brewpub, Scotland, March 21st 09 Pours light amber. The aroma is of a flat Schweppes ginger ale, so in that respect it is on track, in fact its a good job I like ginger ale otherwise the rating of this would probably be lower than it is. The taste is also unsurprisingly flat Schweppes ginger ale there is a touch of ginger burn no doubt from the few strips of ginger that are sat at the bottom of the bottle. I wonder what the difference is between a ginger ale and ginger beer? Because as the name suggest’s this is the former and tastes like the can that you can buy, i.e. it isn’t sweet, doesn’t taste particularly alcoholic and wouldn’t make me exactly rush to try it again, but it will appeal to some even if it is just to have with a wee dram.
