Pint @ opm. Golden brown pour with a creamy white head that bubbles away quickly. Hops, hops, hops, very fragrant with mild citrus in the aroma. Mouthfeel is creamy, medium carbonation, and bitter hops on the finish - but not overpowering, very balanced. Delicious.

Bottle. Poured with an extremely small, white head that soon diminished to a thin film... no real lacing to speak of. Body was clear and copper-colored. Very nice aroma of medium hops and some citrus as well. Fantastic on the palate... not at all what I was expecting from the appearance. Medium-bodied, very creamy, with average carbonation and a bitter finish. Very nice taste as well - quite bitter, but not overpowering, with a fairly long duration. Overall a great APA that should satisfy those who like hops, but not scare off those who aren’t fans of the style.

On tap at Next Scene just off White Ave in Edmonton and confirmed with a fresh 6 pack.
Got me a deep gold / light amber beer with a large white cap with thin but total cover retention and minor sticky lacing. Nice refreshing orange and sweet grapefruit greeted me first and then they fade off a bit to some mild caramel malts and finishes with a faint spice. The aroma is not powerful by any means but that is not really an issue. I found that the hops and malts both are easily recognized in the first impression for tasting and on every sip from there on. Slight caramel and almost a biscuit flavour as well, light citrus that is mainly unsweetened grapefruit. After mid taste fades away the bitterness sweeps in quickly and takes over leaving a very lengthy bitter after taste. There are patches of time where you get good solid malts as well. Ample carbonation. I’m not convinced that this is on the thin side of the style but it is close. I’ve had a lot of better US and UK versions of this (Full Moon seems to be a mix of both) but for a local brew, Full Moon does not disappoint this craft beer drinking Adonis.... This is the best that Alley Kat has to offer - it is always consistent in quality, can be found on tap, sells well so there is no worry about getting old beer in the store and is THE local cure for something tasty with plenty of hops.

A surprising gem from Alley Kat. A crystal clear brown body with a good inch tall cap floating on top. Nice roasted malt with hints of sweet caramel and a nice hop finish in the aroma, very nice. Pine, citrus, hops, sweet smooth malts yes, yes very tasty indeed. Why have I not bought this for so long? Slight breadyness coming through and mild hints of pepper. Every time I exhale I’m tasting alcohol. Very good APA, this is Alley Kat at its finest.

Amertume moyenne. Une bière agréable. Merci stagger !

This is a west-coast pale that has a few English overtones to it in the malt. The Big C hops are in effect here, with Cascade and Centennial most prominent.

Clean golden, white head with a decent retention but not much for stick on the glass. Leaves a good sheet behind, though. Leafy, herbal hops... flavour is similar, with a dash of citrus, and a spot of pale malt. Crisp, clean, and refreshing. Quite a nicely done example of the style, and a favourite of the brews tasted. This would be a session beer of choice.
