Pwn3d (619), NYC, New York, USA Jul 1, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of brewgirlca. Pour is orangish amber with maybe a slight haze, lacings dissipated after half the beer was gone. Nose is malts and toffee - very british. Flavor is sweet cherry and peaches, some spices, malt, and alcohol. Reminds me of 3 Philosophers with a bit of a bock touch. Very, very good. 3.85

Initially bready toffee aroma stands out, but as it breathes more soft fruit becomes apparent (cooked peaches, pears) as well as a little sweet spice. Delicious sweet toffee malt with a light fruity element that lends almost a tart quality to the finish that reminds me of a California common style. This is absolutely delicious-- abundant in flavour, and that interesting fruty tartness or acidity that lightens everything and makes this very drinkable. A great springtime beer to be sure! HyperlogiK (3), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada does not count Jun 2, 2008 Pours a dark caramel colour with a thin white head. A sweet bready malt aroma. Flavour is excellent but as presario suggests, don’t drink it too cold. It seems to comes alive at about 8°C (if my fridge thermometer is to be trusted).
An excellent beer for springtime evening drinking or to accompany something like a good roast chicken.
