hobbersr (42), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada Oct 18, 2008 Pours a dak transparent red with a small beige head. Aroma has a whack of nutmeg... tons of nutmeg. Other scents on the nose are well pumpkin and I wanna say pie crust. Wow! it tastes like pumpkin pie in a bottle!. Enough said. Feels alright on te palate. Loses marks for not tasting like a beer... but for weirdness and taste, it gets a thumbs up! patricks110 (193), Alberta, Canada Oct 12, 2008 Had in bottle at Bottlescrew Bills, Calgary AB. Overall, a spectacular beer. Aroma is purely of pumpkin pie and thanksgiving dinner. A wonderful and spectacular beer.Flavour is less flavourful that you would expect from the aroma. Pumpkin, spicy herbal flavours and malts are all present. overall, a great beer. presario (2490), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 7, 2008 Light copper. Minimal head. Aroma of pumpkin meat and spices. Spice flavour up front then a pumpkin finish. More bitterness and hops than usual for a pumpkin beer. Overall a tad thin perhaps with dominant dark spice notes. Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 2, 2007 Bright amber colour. Heavy spice aroma of mace and cinnamon along with a rich toffee maltiness. Flavour is again very heavy on the spice - cinnamon, allspice being predominant. Malts are thick, but still not enough to provide complete balance against the onslaught of spice. DuffMan (2101), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 30, 2007 Pours a bright clear amber orange with a moderate foamy head that fades fairly quickly. Delicious, but muted, aromas of gingerbread and nutmeg (best appreciated if you let it warm a bit). Sweet toffee malt up front with a spicey pumpkin pie finish covered in nutmeg and cloves. Almost a tartness to the finish that brings to mind a California common style, which keeps this beer from becoming cloying or too sweet. Light in the body, bordering on thin. Very enjoyable-- a nice fall treat!
