Quack-Duck (1905), Bodensee, Germany Sep 22, 2008 bottle (Teutsch was formerly brewed by Brauhaus Aulendorf, until their closure in 1978). Clear pale golden yellow, medium-sized head. Malty-hoppy nose. Malty and hoppy, hints of grain with a sour-ish touch. Hmm.. bhensonb (3010), Woodland, California, USA Aug 15, 2008 Bottle from Hi-Time. Gold color with a decent white head. Aromas of bread and not-quite-grassy hop. Near medium body with smooth carbonation. Flavor is lightly bready with a decent amount of grassy bitter. Much more gentile than the macros. Bitter builds up in the finish. Fits the style. Strykzone (1011), Wood River, Illinois, USA Aug 6, 2008 Champaigne style bottle with some interesting geometric shaped large bubbles inside the bottle. Cool, actually. Honey gold body with a very small head. Honey hop aroma with some bread. Some honey in the flavor along with bitter hops. Quite dry. A bit of malt and rice. Well, the bubbles in the bottle were cool. thegreenrooster (1514), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 3, 2008 Pour is a hay colored yellow with a small white head. Aroma is of faint malts and not much else. Flavor is thin and watery with only a slight trace of malts and no hops. Not a very good pils. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Jun 26, 2008 Very simple and not that great for the style. Very dry on the palate, with an extremely overcarbonated mouthfeel that reminds me of some cheaper macro lagers, lots of adjuncty notes, not very clean or crisp like I expected. Just not good at all.
