A thin head can be coaxed from this with a hard pour down the middle, but it’s a typical Doppelbock head.
Rich malty aroma, some alcohol, hints of cherry. Silky smooth, coating the tongue with sweet malt flavor. Some coffee and chocolate flavors as it warms. No alcohol detected, very nice Doppelbock. crzybob77 (528), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Scent is malt, plain and simple.
Taste is caramel malts with a hint of coffee and dark fruits; rather nice.
Palate is full with a nice mineral sensation without being metalic at all. Overall, this isn’t a Salvator or Celebrator, but a solid Doppel worth trying.
