Some bitterness in aroma. Rather alcoholic. Flavour of sweet alcohol. Furthermore some Øllebrød in flavour and finish. Sweet malty grains in the palate and aftertaste.

Deep brown, almost black color. A thin head can be coaxed from this with a hard pour down the middle, but it’s a typical Doppelbock head. Rich malty aroma, some alcohol, hints of cherry. Silky smooth, coating the tongue with sweet malt flavor. Some coffee and chocolate flavors as it warms. No alcohol detected, very nice Doppelbock.

Pours a dark brwon with red-ish hilights and a decent head that left quite a bit of lace. Scent is malt, plain and simple. Taste is caramel malts with a hint of coffee and dark fruits; rather nice. Palate is full with a nice mineral sensation without being metalic at all. Overall, this isn’t a Salvator or Celebrator, but a solid Doppel worth trying.

Dark muddy brown, tan head. Earthy malts abound, chocolaty, darker fruits as well. Smooth, medium body. A nice doppelbock.
