Flavor was lightly wheaty, some clove, and a not so enchanting pencil lead finish. Faintest hint of lemon as well. Not bad, but the yeast esters were simply too restrained. shrubber85 (2995), Wallhalben, Germany

A well blended mixture of wheat malt and banana/clove. A bit watery. Nicely drinkable but could use a more intense flavor. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

Quite a bit of banana. so thats pretty good I guess Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 17, 2005 A hazy pale yellow body with lazy carbonation and a tall head that - - that disappears more quickly than I’ve seen on a hefeweizen before! It has a delicate aroma, grassy fresh with a mild lemon twist. The banana shows up for the taste - and it’s an old banana at that. Cloves make a brief hello. Very clean finish with perhaps a drop of lemon to cleanse the tongue. Acceptable. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2004 cloudy yellow pour-- like you’d collected a soft, golden ball of peach fuzz and packed it in a glass. head as white as a our national rotunda, and it laced in great dreamy sheets that comforted the weary eye. aroma is a woodshop of dank lumber, sawdust and fresh varnish. blogs of yeast slumped like sunken vessels on the bottom of the bottle, and sent up a scent of clove cigarettes, mildewed documents, with green bananas and brown apples. begins as a moderately sweet and thin-bodied drink, with bright carbonation, but dries out quickly with a pronounced vinegary component amid a very woody oak-apple flavor and a metallic citrus finish. this is like a very well made movie, but one in which i don’t really identify with the plot or motives of the leading characters. good acting, well scripted; and, while one can imagine a well meaning yeast lover dragging you to see it, it didn’t really light my fire. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Very wheaty aroma with hints of orange peel, clove, and a light caramelized malt hint. Taste is citrusy and bready, light caramel notes, then finishes off with a light floral hopping. Very dry and crisp, with a aftertaste that reminds me of the smell of orange peels.
