huge, soft rolling white head, nice and tight. plenty of tiny carbonation fill the caramely wheat colored body. Aroma is prevailed by wheat and bananna, accented by clove & a bit of grapefruit. classic wheat beer! boy do I miss home. flavor shows a surprising grainy/flaked barley character. toasty. effervescence delivers the lfavor to all corners of the mouth, a bit of cloying holds it there. becomes sweeter and more wheaty as it warms up, blending pleasantly with the spice and fruit aromas.

Bottle. Yellow-gold with a moderate white head that diminished mostly leaving little lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit - banana and papaya - mellow with yeasty notes as well. Flavor is also fruity and slightly tart in the finish with some spiciness evident as well. Medium light body and mellow carbonation.

Darkish yellow gold with the expected haze. Cereal like nose, like cream of wheat. Sort of plain tasting, a little tangy but not much lemon, bannana or clove, maybe a little diacetyl. Sort of dissapointing.

hazy medium golden, head is off-white, quickly disappearing. aroma is quite tart, yeasty and maybe oxidized. flavor is quite vinous and not hefe-like at all...fruity, and buttery...has chardonnay notes all over it.

Bottled. A large sized white head with fine sized bubbles that fully diminished. The body had very little carbonation, yeasty, hazy and a yellow hue. The aroma was malty, banana, spicy and clove. This beer had a sweet, banana and spicy taste to it with a smooth and watery mouthfeel. This was a medium bodied beer with sparse lacing. There are better German Hefe's out there in my opinion.

This bottled brew poured a very large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored long lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body starts out as a light hazy yellow brown color until the yeast begins to pour in and darken it to a more yellow brown color. There is a small amount of yeast floating in it but the bottle is a brown sediment that really colors the brew when the yeast is mixed in. The aroma is a pleasant yeasty doughy malty one and the mouth feel is tingly with a smooth malty feeling to it. The flavor is malty with dough and yeast. A smooth drinkable beer that can easily keep one drinking with friends at the local Gasthaus.

Pretty disappointed with this one. maybe i got a bad one but it was very sour almost like vinegar was added to it. its smells as if there is a lot of alcohol in it, but there isn't much to it this one, alcohol or flavor. Lot of yeast settled in the bottom of bottle. there are many hefe's out there thats are a lot better and i will be drinking those from now on.

First sip tasted almost like apple cider. Interesting sourness to this hefe, and I like that in a hefe. Light body turns me off a bit, but I guess it's appropriate for the style. I don't know why I'm always looking for thicker hefe's, since that would be a weizenbock.
