| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 29, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is light yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted
grain), with light notes of clove and banana. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic. Light to
medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Whew, now that’s a flavorless weizen, even for a filtered one. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Wheaty/malt aroma with a lot of sweetness to it, but still remained very light. Taste had a weird candy taste to it, sweet malt with honey and a fruity end to it. The flavor was very mellow and kind of bland. maniac (2697), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Aug 23, 2005 (500 ml bottle: $1.99 at Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, CA) Well, the nose is kinda weird with this one. It’s sweet and grainy on the surface, but something in the background reminds me of, oh, I don’t know, nail polish remover maybe, no that’s not it but whatever it is, it’s bad. As the beer warms, it becomes more dominant and more unpleasant. The flavor is mostly a strong blast of stale cardboard, with some sweetness and a light bitterness. Light to medium bodied, but how this beer feels in the mouth is of no consequence at this point. It’s a dark straw color, but instead of being fully clear, it pours hazy and stays hazy. The white head is of average size on the pour and maintains a thin but complete layer. Not what I’d call a pleasant drinking experience, but clearly, this beer is way past its prime and deserves a re-rate.
