Allgäuer St. Magnus Heller Bock

A big lager that leans more toward sweetness than bitterness. Shame about that, but there was still plenty of character here. From half-liter bottle, pours gold with decent white head. Sweet-malty and grassy nose. Relatively high carbonation and grass-hoppy flavor add refreshment value, but the sweetness is a touch too much for my liking.

Bottled, golden color, some floaties. on the sweetish side, lots of caramel, malt, light fruit, not cabonated too much drinkable, but I’ve had better Heller bock.

Bottled. SLightly hazy golden coloured. Malty aroma with notes of apples. Sweetish malty flavour with notes of apples again. Soft mouthfeel. Rather full bodied.

A slightly hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a strong presence of caramel. The flavor is sweet and rather hoppy, but also with quite a lot of caramel.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a lightly hazy pilsener golden with floating impurities, and a creamy, off-white head. Malty, lightly alcoholic nose. Full body, malty sweetish with a distinct alcoholic finish. 050506

Bottle. Clear yellow coloured with a white head. Aroma of malts, caramel, fruits and alcohol. Flavour of malts, fruits, caramel and hops.

Bottle. Yellow colour with a big white head. Malty, grassy aroma and a sweet malty, light alcoholic taste. Medium body with a sweet light alcoholic finish.

I bought this beer in Kempten The brew pours a deep golden straw colour with a small head that disappear quickly. It has a malty aroma with some hints of spices and a little fruity smell. You even feel some citrus in the aroma The flavor is malty and a bit sweet leaving a fruity finish. It also leaves a bit of bitterness in the after taste.
